Client Service Representative
Hi I’m April and I’ve been with Belleview Animal Clinic as a Client Care Specialist since May of 2010. I started working in the Veterinary field back in 1998 and have been at a few hospitals over the years, but definitely feel that I have found a home here with Dr. Holmberg and our wonderful staff. I have 2 sons, Dominic who is 9 years old and Orion who is 4. We have 3 cats at home, Agua Gato, Dim, and Gilbert who I bottle fed as babies and now they are a great part of our family. I spend most of my free time taking care of my kiddos when not at work, but do also try to devote some of my spare time to my other love which is helping the feral kitten population in the Denver Metro area. I rescue abandoned kittens and help nurse them back to health and then socialize and re-home them into their new forever homes. It’s a crazy life, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Before coming to the mile high city in 1991 via Philadelphia and Alabama, Lamarr pursued an education in pre-veterinary medicine, animal science and business. Her interest in canine behavior, & dog training lured her to a Colorado where she obtained her certification as a Master Dog Trainer and Professional All-Breed Groomer. With continuing education a priority for her, she tries to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the practice to benefit the employees, the clients and our patients. She is also our in house IT department, and we lean on her to keep us updated on the newest technology.
Educating people about reputable, responsible breeding and ownership is a passion of hers. She has a one son, Jordan, who makes her proud everyday with his good heart, hard work and intelligence. She has a Mastiff named Nala who she adopted through another animal hospital. Her interests include, Schutzhund, Ringsport, movies, and computers.
